Period 1:  Please submit your Namesake Baseline Fiction Drafts to Google Classroom this morning.  Then work with your workshop group to give feedback and advice on how a draft may be improved in your workshop group. Workshop Groups (for quarter 1): Group A: Faduma, Fadumo, Tyler, Demani, Mariangelis, Genesis, Andrea Group B: Emani, James, Justice, Kaniel, Asher, Raina Remember to create a workshop folder for your group. Share your "How It Feels to Be Me" essay with your group.  Each member of the group should make comments about each essay. Try to add comments that will help a writer add to their idea. Myths. Watch the following short videos concerning mythology. W hat makes a hero ? Anti-hero of One's Own A Host of Heroes Due at end of class , please complete your mythology Prezi project.  You should know the major gods/goddesses of your chosen mythological subject. Create a slide or two where you discuss/list who are the major gods/goddesses in your chosen mythology and what they represent You should know the creation myth that goes with that tradition. In a few slides tell the story of that creation myth through videos, pictures, text, etc. [note: most cultural mythology traditions have more than one creation myth. Socratic Discussion: Things Fall Apart; Lab (Portfolio Work)

This morning, after our writing prompt, please discuss the book Things Fall Apart . Before we begin, write a quick character list for the characters in the book. If you have specific questions/concerns or ideas about the book, what are they? Take about 3-5 minutes to complete this. You can use this for our discussion and to study from for your upcoming test. After our discussion, please use the lab to continue writing for your portfolio. There will be a test on Things Fall Apart on Wednesday. Please prepare and bring your books to class.
