Research Project

Please use the time in lab today to complete any research in school you need to do for your presentation (this is our last day in the lab as a class).

What is due today?: a list of links that you want to share with your class (either during your presentation or so that students can find authors' pages, web resources on your subject, or sample writing, etc.)

What is due next week? Please sign up for one of the three possible dates to present your research to the class: June 6, June 8, or June 10.

During your presentation you should be familiar (in other words "know") what you are talking about, present your information to the class concisely and accurately. If you are using visual aides (powerpoint presentations, wallwishers, prezis, posters, booklets, etc.) please be aware that you are not to read strictly from these objects (they are not your notes--use 3x5 cards for this, if you need to.)

Other parts of the project:
But first, a little trimming. Instead of having at least 1 poem, 1 fiction/script selection, 1 film clip, and 1 other (food, art, dance, theater, music, etc.) (total of 4 things), let's cut to the chase and do the following:

--At least 1 poem or 1 fiction/script selection (you may do both, but a minimum of 1 of these; either bring copies for the class or hand me a copy the DAY or two BEFORE you present--you may simply link to the source if you need to by including it in your link page)
--At least 1 film clip from a filmmaker or pertaining to another art form. This clip should be included in the LINKS page you turn in today.

Your works cited and author abstracts are due the day you present.

As the responses (both creative and analytical) don't need you to be present, I don't need these pieces until Friday, June 10. All late work (all missing work as well) is due MONDAY, JUNE 13 (caution: I will not see you in class, so make sure you turn this in to me in the morning of the 13 during homebase or I will not accept late work--no exceptions.
