British Pop Culture
There's no easy way to boil down over a hundred years of British films, directors, and entertainment. Instead, I'll pull a few bits and pieces together that you may find interesting.

Alfred Hitchcock: before he emigrated to America, Hitchcock cut his teeth in several well directed British suspense and mystery films. Here are a few clips of his best.
Shlocky Horror in Hammer Studios through the 1950-1970's (most starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee) They were responsible for making horror sexy--before Twilight...:
James Bond: 007. Before there was Austin Powers, there was the man himself, 007. Based on Ian Fleming's spy thrillers, Sean Connery was perhaps the most popular and original James Bond.

Wilderness Tips - Examination & Analysis

Use period one to continue the story draft you started last class. Use your time to develop your ideas, theme, work on plot, character development, setting, and other aspects of your fiction writing. Remember, your story should include the following: Write a draft that includes a flashback . Consider an urban setting, but at some point in your story, move to a more natural setting. The setting should reflect the inner conflicts of your protagonist if possible. Avoid character cliches: surprise your reader (and possibly yourself or even your character) Include a secondary character who should act as a foil to the protagonist. Write in present tense ; (flashbacks can be written in past tense); Use 3rd person POV (limited, omniscient, objective). See the previous post for more details.
